Bookkeeping services that run themselves.

We set up a real accounting system for your business and run it for one fixed monthly price — and you use it from a chat you already have. Send a receipt, invoice a customer, pay a contractor, ask what you owe in HST. The books keep themselves.

Not another login. Not a shoebox for your accountant.

Most owner-operated businesses have the same problem: the money moves faster than the books. Receipts sit in a camera roll, invoices go out from three different apps, and the real bookkeeping waits until tax time — when it becomes a scramble.

Our bookkeeping services fix that at the source. We build the system around how your business actually runs, teach you the handful of messages that keep it current, and run the whole thing so you never open a spreadsheet again unless you want to.

What you get

Money in

Invoices with HST, quotes, payments matched, overdue chasing, daily sales — sent and tracked from chat.

Money out

Bills and due dates, receipts read and filed, recurring costs, owner draws and reimbursements.

People

Pay staff and contractors with the deductions set up at onboarding; tips, hours and year-end slips.

HST & reports

What you owe and when, filing-period summaries, a plain-language read on how the week went.

It’s the whole department, not just receipts. See receipt & expense tracking for the capture side, or the system underneath for how it’s built.

Software, a bookkeeper, or us — the honest comparison

  • 01Do it yourself in software (QuickBooks, Wave, Xero): $25–160/mo, and you’re the bookkeeper. We’re the alternative that sets it up and runs it.
  • 02Hire a bookkeeper: $400–700/mo in Ontario, and you still buy the software. We’re the system set up for your business and running the day-to-day — for less than a bookkeeper alone.
  • 03A done-for-you service (Bench closed in 2024; Wave Advisors runs the books but not the system): we set up the system and run it. See Bench alternative.

Questions

01

What do your bookkeeping services actually include?

We set up a real accounting system for your business, connect the way money moves in and out, and host it for a fixed monthly price. Day to day you use it from a chat: send an invoice, record a bill, pay a contractor, ask how much HST you owe. Hosting, backups, updates and support are included.

02

Is this a bookkeeper or bookkeeping software?

It’s the software — set up and run for you, not a person you hire. On its own, software gives you a login and leaves the setup and the work to you; a bookkeeper does the work but you still buy and run the software. We set the system up around your business and it does the day-to-day from a chat — for less than a bookkeeper alone.

03

Do I still need an accountant?

Yes, for tax filing and judgement calls. We set the books up with your accountant’s needs in mind, give them a login, and hand over a clean year-end package, so they spend less time fixing and more time advising.

04

Where are you based, and who do you work with?

We’re in Ajax, Ontario and work with owner-operated Ontario businesses — cafés and restaurants, shops and online sellers, trades and local services. Setups are done remotely and by hand, so we keep the queue short.

05

How much do bookkeeping services cost?

One fixed monthly price of $99 (a sample figure we confirm on the call), plus a one-time setup from $2,000. No per-seat fees, no surprise bill. See the pricing page for what’s included.

Let’s set up your books.

Forty-five minutes, a plan and a price. No payment until we’ve agreed the scope, and we reply — usually the same day.
